Major investors in the redevelopments of historic buildings are expected to return the market, now that the Internal Revenue Service has issued new, long-awaited guidelines for the federal historic rehabilitation tax credit program.

Uncertainty over the program, touched off by a 2012 court ruling, had sent many investors to the sidelines in 2013.

Frank Hagaman, executive director of the Hartford Preservation Alliance, recommends this blog post from a New York company that specializes in historic rehabs.
