I’ve been at The Hartford Courant my whole career, as a photographer, reporter, columnist and business editor. I write about working people, companies, politics, policy, economics, wealth and poverty in Central Connecticut and beyond. My interests include parenting, ultimate frisbee, kayaking, visual art and arguing, and I’m active at my alma mater, Wesleyan University.

Check into Thomas May President and CEO of Northeast Utilities.
A secret he is hiding about his future plans for Northeast Utilities.
He sits on the board of directors of another company that is going to become an integral part of Northeast resulting in more layoffs and possible wipeouts of entire departments.
The employees of this other company, to the best of my knowledge, are not residents of CT.
Another potential serious issue that may arise…
If you think we had problems with major storm issues last year, this step will result in fewer people covering the phones.
This was not a merger, it was a buy out.
That is all I can say for now. Please check into the above. People in the know are sworn to secrecy and fear being fired if they speak.
