There were a lot of smiles at Carbone’s in Hartford Thursday evening, a lot of guy smiles.

As one gentleman, who preferred not to be identified commented,  ”Great food, good cigars, great scotch and you can get a shave if you want. And my wife didn’t want to come because she hates cigar smoke. What’s not to like? ”

It was Carbone’s annual Scotch and Cigar dinner with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Petit Family Foundation. Honorary chairs included ESPN personality Colin Cowherd and UConn football coach Paul Pasqualoni , who by the way, emphatically noted he does not smoke or drink.

Rooster’s of Glastonbury added the finishing touch to this year’s event, inviting the gentlemen to step up and be pampered.

Among those taking advantage were Dr. William Petit Jr., happily getting ready for his summer wedding, as well as politicians, community leaders and guys that just like a guy’s night out, with a good cause thrown in for good measure.
