A record-breaking 350 people took advantage of a perfect Indian summer evening and the best from the gardens, the Firebox restaurant and the bakery at Billings Forge in Hartford Thursday at the non-profit’s 4th annual Farm-to-Table dinner. Held outdoors at the Billings Forge Community compl0065 on Broad Street, the event is designed to celebrate the self-sustaining mixed use property that includes two restaurant, a kitchen, gardens, a seasonal farmers’ market, arts space3 and residences. “This is a celebration of all our programs,” said executive director Cary Wheaton. “We are totally excited about its success.” With Wheaton, left, are Steve Melville, chairman of the Melville Charitable Trust and Billings Forge board chair Nancy Wheeler. Also enjoying the evening that included live and silent auctions and radio personality and Courant columnist Colin McEnroe as emcee were Kristen Gordon, Gary Gordon, Weena Yong and Mike Raciti.
