Brian Dennehy Comes To Hartford’s Hedda

Tony award winner and movie and tv actor Brian Dennehy apparently liked the Hartford Stage production of “Hedda Gabler.”

He was part of the opening night crowd that gave a standing ovation to actress Roxanna Hope who stars in the Henrik Ibsen play.

Dennehy, a Bridgeport native who lives in Woodstock, was the guest of Dora Award winning director Jennifer Tarver.

The production, which continues through Sept. 23, marks  new artistic director Darko Tresnjak’s first season of programming.
