CT Scores On “American Idol”

I was barely paying attention to the new season of “American Idol” Wednesday night but caught the words “East Hartford, CT” and that grabbed me.

It appears Connecticut has a celebrity in the making. East Hartford’s Ashlee Feliciano more than impressed the four judges and is headed to Hollywood, and I suspect beyond when it comes to being a serious contender on the reality talent show.

Besides her poise and talent, (Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae)  best thing about the 20-year-old? What appears to be a rock-solid family who besides their three biological children, includes four ”medically comples” foster children as well. Seemed to be lots of love there.

And have to say I loved it when judge Randy Jackson insisted on bringing the whole family in for a little meet-and-greet.

Going forward, suspect this will be a shades of Katie Stevens, the Middlebury teen from Season Nine of the show, who caused a happy stir in the state finishing eighth overall.
