Vivie and David Glass are leaving Connecticut.

The great cake baking couple announced Wednesday they will be moving to Vermont and that their famed cake business here will be no more.

The couple, closed Bloomfield-based Desserts By David Glass in 2009 when facing bankruptcy. They opened a   smaller baking business in space at the Bissell Commons Park in South Windsor in 2010, and have been selling their  best known mouth-watering confections include chocolate truffle and chocolate mousse cakes and caramel apple cheesecake each week.

The two notified customers they will be moving north in 6 to 8 weeks.

“We will still be baking all  of our holiday favorites till then” the two announced via email to their “cherished customers.”

Saturday tastings will  continue during  those weeks  including one on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m
