Doebler To Receive MS Award

David Doebler, president and general manager at NBC Connecticut, has been named the 2012 recipient of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter’s Executive Choice Award. He will be honored at an awards ceremony Sept. 27, at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville.

The Avon resident is active in various non-profits and community organizations including the National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter, Special Olympics, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Autism Speaks, the Urban League of Greater Hartford, and the Boys & Girls Clubs.

The 2012 Connecticut Executive Choice Awards will also honor Charles Firlotte, president and chief executive officer of Aquarion Water Company and Chandler Howard, president and chief executive officer of Liberty Bank.

Gian-Paul Gonzalez, recognized in 2011 as having inspired the New York Giants to victory with his “All In” speech will be the keynote speaker.
