She has a good reason. She is about to become a MRS.
The South Windsor native and daughter of Vic and Rose Perez, will be saying “I do” to fiance Jeff Collette at nuptials in Hawaii Saturday.
According to Perez, who also co-hosts the station’s “The Real Story,” the wedding will be a sunset affair on a deck overlooking the ocean. It will be a very traditional Hawaiian ceremony, she said, with Hawaiian songs performed on a ukulele for the reception.
The bride-to-be said about 50 people are coming to the wedding.
And how did they meet?
“Jeff and I met through a mutual friend at ESPN,” she said about Collette, an ESPN SportsCenter producer who hails from Wisconsin and came to Connecticut from Texas. “It was my birthday and I went out celebrating with friends and Jeff came in with our mutual friend and we were introduced,” she said about the meeting three years ago. “We’re so excited, overwhelmed by the beauty of Hawaii and will be bringing the Aloha spirit home with us.”
Congratulations to you both. Wishing you many, many happy years together.
