It’s that time of year again when it comes to summer eating, hamburgers and beer.

And the Connecticut’s Central Regional Tourism District (CenterofCT.com) is offering a free pocket guide featuring the best places for burgers and microbrews in its 65 towns and cities.

The “Burgers & Brews Trail” guide is a free brochure available in print and online at  www.CenterofCT.com. With information about more than 70 great eateries and breweries, it is a handy resource for visiting tourists and local residents alike, according to the district.

“America’s first burger sandwich was cooked up right here at New Haven’s Louis Lunch more than a century ago – and the restaurant is still going strong,” explains Anne Lee, Executive Director of the Central Regional Tourism District. “Today, a wide variety of restaurants in our region serve up fantastic burgers, from grilled to steamed to bison burgers to ‘build-your-owns’. Add to that, some of the finest microbreweries in all of New England and we have our very own regional burger and brew trail.”
