Channel your casual self and then head over to Grants in West Hartford. That’s the new vibe as the popular downtown West Hartford restaurant reopens its doors Friday with a new menu and new, more laid back look. “We don’t want to be just a special occasion place, we want to be a place people come to every day,” said owner Billy Grant, who tapped decorator Kellie Burke to do the redo. The renovated dining room and bar feature shades of red décor, rough-hewn floors, chicken coop wire wall panels, industrial design elements and new lighting. New menu items including daily Blue Plate Specials, as well as comfort food including Grant’s “Mama’s Meatloaf” and chicken pot pie.
