Celebrate Greater Hartford’s Latin culture at the Riverfront Latin World Rhythms Festival on Saturday, Sept. 7. The festival is from 1 to 10 p.m. and includes art, food, beverages and performances. At Winding Trails in Farmington at noon Saturday, Sept. 7, its Southern CT Chili Cookoff “Chili-Palooza” time. The event features libations, a chili cook-off, several bands as well as other entertainment. Head over to the Nathan Hale Homestead in Coventry Sept. 7 where Connecticut Landmarks will celebrate the museum’s rich agricultural heritage and freshness of Connecticut grown food at its “Dinner at the Homestead.” Dinner will be prepared by Executive Chef Scott Miller of Max’s Oyster Bar and Max Catering and will be paired with distinctive wines and beers from the Olde Burnside Brewing Company.
