Junior Achievement Announces 2013 Award Winners

A retired business executive, a well-known attorney and philanthropist, a CEO and an iconic coach have been chosen as the 2013 honorees by the Junior Achievement of Southwest New England.

Named as the inductees to its Business Hall of Fame are Howard L. Carver, retired managing partner at Ernst & Young, LLP, Cheryl Chase, EVP, principal and general counsel for the Chase Enterprises, Inc, and John F. Lundgren, president and CEO at Stanley Black & Decker Inc.

Retired UCONN  men’s basketball coach Jim Calhoun will be the recipient of its 2013 Spirit of Achievement Award.

The four will be honored at Junior Achievement’s  Annual Business Hall of Fame dinner on April 10 at the Hartford Marriott Downtown.
