saltAnother restaurant change, this one in Litchfield.

Brett and Albert Clugston announced Wednesday they have sold their Litchfield Saltwater Grille.

Brett Clugston said details of the sale aren’t public yet but the staff at the place will be staying on. The name and the “vibe” will also continue.

“It is very exciting because the new owners want exactly what we created,” Clugston said.

And as far as the future of the well-known restaurant couple.

“We have a  whole list of things that have nothing to do with food and wine,” she said.

Here are their words about the sale:

“To Our Fabulous customers,
We would like to announce that The Litchfield Saltwater Grille will soon be under new ownership. We are so thrilled and proud of the success The Litchfield Saltwater Grille has had over the last seven years. Good bye is bittersweet but our plans for future endeavors are very exciting. The work has been hard, yes- but very rewarding. We cannot thank you our customers enough for your support; we would not be here without you.”

As a final goodbye, the couple is running a promotion through Dec. 1 with free and reduced price specials that  celebrate some of its “best” dishes and drinks.
