Station veteran Kerri-Lee Mayland will join the weekday morning news team as co-anchor on Connecticut Today and NBC Connecticut News at 11 a.m., president and general manager David Doebler has announced.
Mayland, currently the station’s weekend morning co-anchor, will fill the post being vacated by Yvonne Nava who is moving to Texas. Mayland joins Brad Drazen, meteorologist Bob Maxon and traffic reporter Kayla James.
“We are pleased to have Kerri-Lee join the NBC Connecticut weekday morning team,” said Doebler. “Viewers will enjoy getting to know Kerri-Lee. Her sharp journalism skills and warm demeanor will fit nicely with our already strong morning team.”
The Emmy winning Mayland joined NBC Connecticut in 2010 after anchoring at WTXF in Philadelphia.
