If you are a fan of celebrity chef Buddy Valastro’s reality show, “Cake Boss: Next Great Baker,” you’ll be excited about next weekend.
The winner, Marissa Lopez, will be one of the featured guests at the Connecticut Cake competition Feb. 18 and 19 at the Hartford Marriott .
Lopez and the season’s three finalists will be guests at a meet-and-greet continental breakfast reception Feb. 19 at noon. Besides Lopez, show finalists attending will be first runner-up Nadine Reibeling, Ryan Cimorelli and Carmelo Oquendo.

In case you are not familiar, the cake competition attracts cake and pastry artists from the Northeast and beyond. The two-day show includes cake galleries, demonstrations, a live cake challenge, competitions and classes, as wel;l as cake displays that make you want to try harder the next time you bake.
The event also includes an Evening of Sharing on Feb. 18 featuring award-winning sugar artist Burton Farnsworth and chocolate master Vanessa Greeley.
