Malloy allowed the use of Connecticut state property, (the Governor’s Mansion) for a wedding ceremony? Isn’t there supposed to be a separation of Church and State?

Congratulations to the new couple… but isn’t the governor’s behavior here questionable?

Although I don’t know the specifics, it may not have been a religious ceremony but rather one performed by a justice of the peace perhaps. Andrew McDonald certainly looks official so my guess is he must be. A ‘church’ may not have even been involved, unless a garden’s considered one. I do strongly agree with the separation of church and state but it looks like the Governor passed the test on this one.

This picture made me smile. Congrats to both of you.

Isn’t marraige a religious thing? After all, where did marraige come from? I believe the very first one we are all patterned after was in the garden of eden, performed by God himself. Sounds like a religious thing to me.
