Step up and nominate them for one of the state’s “Pineapple Awards.”

Named for the international symbol of hospitality, the Pineapple Awards honor people and places from the three state tourism districts – Eastern, Central and Western. Awards are presented in four categories including Excellence in Tourism Image, Tourism Ambassador, Excellence in Tourism Service and Hospitality, and Volunteer of the Year. The awards will be announced at the 2013 Connecticut Conference on Tourism on May 21 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.

To nominate an individual or organization for a 2013 Pineapple Award, go to  www.CelebrateTourism.com/awards. Nomination deadline is April 12.
