About 150 players hit the links at Tunxis Plantation last week for the 4th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic hosted by the Curtis D. Robinson Men’s Health Institute at Saint Francis Hospital.

The theme of the tournament was “Save the Lives of Men,” focusing on prostate cancer and awareness about the importance of men’s health.

Founded in 2010 by Robinson, a businessman, philanthropist and prostate cancer survivor, the Curtis D. Robinson Men’s Health Institute addresses the racial disparities in men’s health, particularly in the areas of patient education, early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of African-American men at risk for prostate cancer.
