Sex, Drugs Part of Wesleyan Party At CT Science Center

dinosaurs-unearthed-exhibit-85[1]As a welcoming, open venue to all, the Connecticut Science Center  became the place where a Wesleyan  “seniors” party got way out of hand.

The Middletown University’s senior class held one of its “senior cocktail” events at the museum Friday, a convivial party that reportedly included drugs, sex, lots of booze and a one-way ticket out of the place after just a couple of hours into the bash.

The bonding experience gone bad  included some alleged less-than-museum-like activities including climbing on the exhibit dinosaurs and drug use and sex in the bathrooms  .

“Wesleyan University rented the facility for an evening reception with catering services for approximately 500 people,” according to center spokeswoman, Tracy Shirer. “After some incidents of unruly behavior, it was mutually upon agreed by Wesleyan and the Science Center to end the event early. The guests cooperated and left.”

There was some minor damage to the center that was fixed and/or cleaned up before the museum re-opened on Saturday morning.

University officials offered an apology and are  revisiting the “party” policy.  For more read here.
