promise23Some kiddos in the Easman and Turgeon families are either really, really happy today, or not so much so.

Because their parents were both bidding on auction items at Saturday night’s Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation “Rock for the Cure”  Promise Ball that were sure to bring smiles.

Maryellen and John Turgeon and Juantray and Lynette Easmon were both among the crowd eyeing a couple of special auction items with their children in mind.

Meanwhile the Turgeons has marching orders from their 19-year-old daughter on what they were supposed to be eyeing at the auction.

“She wants the Jimmy Fallon package but she doesn’t want to go with us,” explained a smiling John Turgeon about the auction item that included tickets to Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” in New York City.

The event was expected to raise about $1.5 million for the juvenile diabetes non-profit and helping with upping the auction take was musician and former Poison front man, Bret Michaels.

But you had to stay a while to see the guy, who not only has diabetes, but also made his mark onpromise20 Donald Trump’s reality tv show, “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Michaels , who has Type 1 diabetes, came in to host the auction and then visit with VIP guests who paid the extra money to meet the star up close and personal.
