Terzi To Anchor, Join Sunday Real Story At FoxCT
My new co-worker just called. http://bit.ly/OkZCUc
That would be former WFSB anchor, Al Terzi whose said his official first day at Fox Ct is Monday, July 9.
(Be patient, he will be learning the ropes for the first few days and on-air later in the week)
Here’s the scoop according to the guy himself.
Terzi said he’ll be filling in as anchor on the 4, 10 and 11 p.m. newscasts through Thursdays, and on Fridays, regularly co-anchoring the desk.
He will also be alongside Laurie Perez on Sunday’s “The Real Story” adding his political savvy to the show.
And he’ll be contributing to the rest of the Fox Ct platforms including online, the Courant and Hartford Magazine.
“I am so excited,” said Terzi about the new job. “People kept asking me how retirement is but I never retired,” he added after several months off the air. “Fox Ct has the most expansive news schedule and there are plans to expand that to include a 5 p.m. newscast,” he continued. “I want to get back to work.”
Terzi, who turns 70 in October, said he will also continue the WDRC Saturday morning show with his son, Tony.

I always had a lot of respect for Al Terzi, as many people have had over his many years of broadcasting. It is a shame to see him at Fox, which has significantly lowered the ethical standard and trusted integrity of news reporting. I wish he would reconsider this decision to avoid the tarnish of an otherwise stellar acreers
Fox ct is not the same Fox your thinking of obviously you’ve never watched it.
Fox CT and FOX aren’t the same, so you’re wrong. Try watching FOXCT as it has one of the best news in CT. It doesn;t look as if you ever seen it, so give it a try. I’m happy for Al as he’s on a better news station and wish him nothing but the best in his new endeavors.
That’s great news for Al. Always enjoyed Al’s work. FOXCT has great news team and weather team and Al has reunited with Geoff Fox which is awesome. What a blessing it is to watch them both and be reunited which they are both awesome and glad that FOXCT has Al. I wish him the best with his new job.

Ray Allen signing with the Heat doesn’t bother me nearly so much as Terzi signing with Fox. I always thought Terzi was a journalist. How could he sign with an outfit whose concept of News is modeled on Pravda?
Pprairie …let me guess – Democrat ?
Pprairie, what happened to your knowledge of history? Pravda was the newsoutlet for the Communist regime. How is Fox news modeled on Pravda?
You have some explaining to do. You are entitled to your opinion but not entitled to make your own facts. Please explain.
I will miss Allen not being close by in Boston and his visits to Uconn.
Congratulations AL, this is great news. Funny I called this one before he ‘retired’. You will make a wonderful match – plus they need your grammar lessons you are so known for – every publication needs the literary cop on staff.. (even in fun). May you have luck in your endeavor.

Good news to have Al back on TV.
Al Terzi is a model of journalistic integrity. He’s of the old school mold, and will instantly improve Fox61 news. Mr. Terzi has a widespread, positive influence on all those that work in the newsroom. I know this to be true, as I worked with him for 3 years. Good luck Al!
Al and Geoff Fox will be reunited again. Can’t wait!!!
@ Dogma and Prairie… the FOX News Channel which I think you’re referring to and WTIC-61/FOX-CT have nothing to do with each other. WTIC-61 is affiliated with the FOX broadcast network which airs sitcoms, movies, and sports. Their news affiliation is with The Hartford Courant where they share an office building. The FOX News Channel, home of O’Reilly, Hannity, etc. is a totally different outfit. Just FYI!
I almost forgot to add, I for one am thrilled to see Al back on the air. I fondly remember the days of Al, Ann, and Geoff on channel 8 many years ago. This was a great catch on the part of FOX-CT!
Clearly, the people who are slamming Fox 61 News has never watched it. Fox 61 is a local news station that broadcasts local news stories the same as channels 3, 8, and 30. I like the staffing at 4pm, 10pm and 11pm but wow, the morning team of Brynes and Arias is beyond weak and are hard to watch. I like Fox’s science segments, always informative.
And glad to have Al back on the air. We left WFSB about 3 years ago and while we’re now loyal NBC CT views now, I’m glad to hear Al is somewhere. I will check in on him.
Well I love foxct I enjoy watching foxct more than any other station. I personally think that wfsb, nbc30 started the news at 430, foxct was the first local station to go live 430 and is the best station. I love the morning team I love waching them.Great to see Al back so excited. Oh by the way Erika and Logan are AWESOME to watch in the morning.
Agree!
