shadyglen Burger fans…this week may be the week to head to Manchester for a burger.

Seems Shady Glen , home to one of the best known burgers in the world,  should be getting ready for yet more tv exposure. The award-winning, often touted restaurant is being spotlighted once again for its creative, signature tri-corner cheese-capped cheeseburger. E

The Travel Channel, and more specifically,  hamburger expert, author and host George Motz of its “Burger Land,” a show spotlighting the best burgers in America, has heard tales about the those scrumptious Manchester burgers that merited James Beard Foundation notice, and wants to check it out.

Word is that the Travel Channel will be visiting the Shady Glen at 840 Middle Turnpike later in the week with plans to not only taste the burgers and discuss what makes them so special, but also interview customers who just can’t stay away from those patties.

“That’s what I’m told,” said veteran manager Brent Zakowski about the anticipated visit. “We were told Friday or Saturday and that we should stay open for the filming.”
