Speaking of Mozzicato’s, the original Hartford bakery and dessert café on Franklin Avenue is one of the new stops for the annual holiday trolley that provides weekend transportation between Bushnell Park and Old Wethersfield through New Year’s Eve.
Al Marotta of the South End Hartford Business Alliance said a few new stops have been added to accommodate riders who want to stop at other South End restaurants along the route as part of their holiday activities.
Trolleys provide the free, continuous back-and-forth rides on Friday and Saturdays from 4 to 11 p.m. This year rides begin at Keeney Memorial Cultural Center in Old Wethersfield, stopping at Costa Del Sol, Carbone’s, Casa Mia and Andreas, Mozzicato’s and Francesco’s,J Restaurant/Bar and Bushnell Park where Winterfest is underway. On New Year’s Eve, transportation will be available from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. The route takes about 30 minutes.
And finally, some congratulations are in order to a couple of local tv personalities and their spouses. NBC Connecticut’s Debra Bogstie Dudack and her husband Brian Dudack welcomed daughter, Karlee Taryn Dudack last week. The new addition weighed in at six pounds eight ounces.
Another shout out to an NBC Connecticut anchor, Keisha Grant and her baby bump!

“We just found out today we are having a little girl,” said Grant who plans to work right up till her due date which is around May sweeps. “We are so excited because there are all boys on my husband’s side.”
Grant said Tuesday she had considered waiting to tell everyone the gender of the baby till Christmas as a little surprise.
“I just couldn’t keep my mouth shut that long,” she said laughing.
No name yet for the expected baby girl.
