It’s not an easy job but someone has to do it and that was the case of reporters over the mega-storm weekend in Connecticut.

At least two had special tales to tell with one  being featured on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show Monday night.

NBC Connecticut’s Amanda Raus was one of several reporters from different stations in the New England area  whose weather segments were part of a comical spoof titled “Salute to Weathermen Who Risk Their Extremities,”  featuring several reporters who were doing live outdoor shots during the storm.

In her segment on the show, Raus, who has been with NBC Connecticut since 2007, commented how the snow “hurts as it pounds you” as she stands outside in the snow giving the report.

And at WTNH ,reporter, Jacquie Slater and cameraman J-P Coleman had their own tale to tell after the vehicle they were in during the storm slid down an embankment off  I-91 Friday night, leaving them trapped for more than 10 hours before being rescued by the National Guard.
