Hamden wasn’t the only Connecticut town to make CNN/Money Magazine’s annual list of “Top 100 Places to Live.”  While Hamden placed #54, Greenwich was ranked a primo #29 on the list.

Coming in at #64 was Fairfield and at #72, drum roll please, West Hartford.

Comments on West Hartford note:

“Suburbs often compete with their big-city neighbor when it comes to nightlife and entertainment. Not so with West Hartford. Though it shares a border with state capital Hartford, this city is the regional destination for fun. Blue Back Square (after Noah Webster’s bluebacked books) offers diverse eateries, retail shops, a movie theater, and weekly concerts. Though property taxes are high, West Hartford’s exceptional public schools (its two public high schools are ranked No. 2 and No. 6 in the state) are the payoff. “
