WETHERSFIELD – 2/14/12 – Sam Hurewitz, left, has been dating Terri Planco for 3 years and she decided to surprise Sam with a singing valentine Tuesday morning while they had there usual weekly breakfast at the Wethersfield Diner for Valentine’s Day. A barbershop quartet from the Silk City Chorus belted out several classic tunes as Sam looked on in stunned amazement. The singers are, from left to right: Jim Nolan of Glastonbury, Dave Kinkead of Glast, Frank Lehninger of Enfield and Cameron Bailey of Cromwell. “This is the most special man, right here,” siad Planco, “He’ll either love it or hate it. He did both.” IAcross from Sam inthe booth is his friend, Sal Salvato, who, with his wife, Dorothy, joins Terri and Sam for breakfast at the diner every Tuesday. STEPHEN DUNN | sdunn@courant.com
