The Who Were Here

The Who brought their Quadrophenia tour to the Mohegan Sun Arena Sunday night. Roger Daltrey, singing lead in photo, and Pete Townshend are from the original band.

It was a real kick photographing The Who Sunday night during a stop on their Quadrophenia tour at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Roger Daltrey, singing lead in photo,  and Pete Townshend, right, are from the original band and sounded like time has stood still for them. They sounded great. Daltrey is 68 and Townshend, 67, but you would never know it. Townshend killed on his Fender Stratocaster. Ringo’s son, Zak Starr, was manning the drums for the group. Check out his photo, he looks just like his father.

Pete Townshend, one of the original Who members, rocks out on his Fender Stratocaster.

Roger Daltrey, one of the originals, sings lead vocals.

Roger Daltrey, one of the original members of the Who, belts out lead vocals.

Zak Starr, the son of former Beatle drummer, Ringo Starr, is the drummer for The Who. He really looks like his dad.

Old black & white images of the Who from the 60’s are displayed behind Daltrey and Townshend.
