MIDDLETOWN-7/17/13- The city of Middletown opened up cooling centers and a number of fire hydrants throughout the city to help residents cope with the extreme heat and humidity Wednesday. Joshua Curry Jr., 8, got the relief he needed at an officially opened hydrant at the Highlands Crescent bus stop near his home.

Joshua Curry Jr., 8, got the relief he needed at an officially opened hydrant at the Highlands Crescent bus stop near his home.

The heat wave continues and towns like Middletown are opening up hydrants for children to get some welcome relief. More heat tomorrow!
