X-treme Heat

The Hartford Marathon Foundation held the second of their X-treme Scramble summer race series Thursday night and 400 hearty souls took part. Due to the oppressive heat the course was shortened to two miles (usually a 5K) and called a fun run. Among the cooling devices available were  2 sprinklers along the course, a misting tent and an ice bath pool at the finish line for emergencies.
