Hartford Stage Returning to Repertory Theatre

Hartford Stage is celebrating their 50 year anniversary by  returning to their true repertory theatre roots. Hartford Courant columnist Frank Rizzo explains it best in this story headlined “Actors Doing Double Duty In ‘Macbethm’ ‘La Dispute’ At Hartford Stage.”

I was lucky enough to draw the assignment, and work with Hartford Stage artistic director Darko Tresnjak, to photograph two of the actors in costume of each show. Below are a few of photos from that photo shoot. Three of the photographs are from the play La Dispute, and the fourth is from their production of Macbeth.

The two plays are running now thru November 10 on an alternating night basis. However, there will be occasions this season where both shows will be shown on the same day. Get your tickets for La Dispute here, and your tickets for Macbeth, here!

Philippe Bowhen, below, plays Mesrin, and Kaliswa Brewster, above, plays Egle in La Dispute, one of two plays currently playing at Hartford Stage. The actors are also performing in Macbeth.
