Thanks For The MeMOries

Tampa Bay Rays v New York Yankees

Arguing over “Who is the greatest” is a great way to kill a few hours.  Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Ted Williams, Willie Mays…the list can go on when you ask who was the greatest hitter of all time.  The discussion is short and sweet when you ask “Who is the greatest relief pitcher of all time?”  Even Red Sox fans can quickly answer with one word…Mo.  Thursday night, after 19 years of wearing only pin stripes, Mariano was told, “It was time to go.”  A closer never wants to come out of the game, but it was a fitting end to a Hall of Fame career to be taken out not by his manager, but his two longtime friends and teammates as he made his last walk to the dugout at Yankee Stadium.
