Hartford Mural Project

The Connecticut Artists Initiative, working with youth artists in the North End of Hartford, have created two “elder-inspired, youth-created” murals, one in City Hall and the other on the wall of the concessions building at Waverly Park.

At left, Nakeia Herbert of East Hartford, one of the students who worked on the Waverly Park mural, hugs Patricia Johnson, the Director and founder of the Ct. Artist's Initiative. Behind them is the North End Little League inspired mural at the newly renovated Waverly Park ball fields.
