Funeral for Lt. Richard Bond

The memorial service for a longtime South Windsor police officer, Lt. Richard Bondwas held at 10 a.m. at the Wapping Community Church Jan. 13.  A walking procession to Wapping Cemetery followed. Bond, 54, died  after a two-year battle with cancer. He was a lifelong South Windsor resident and had been a officer with the department for 33 years.
