Shelton Fire Displaces Dozens


2014.01.06. – Shelton, CT – John Barber (above), who heard shouts of “Johnny! Fire! Johnny! Get Out!” before fleeing his burning third-floor apartment early this morning, looks over the smoldering remains of the building that was once his home and housed about half a dozen businesses and 24 apartments.  Firefighters rescued about 30 people from the building, five have been treated for smoke inhalation and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
