Clashes in Egypt Kill Hundreds and Injure Thousands

In the worst day of violence since the July 3 ouster of President Mohammed Morsi, hundreds of people were killed today as Egyptian forces cleared two pro-Morsi sites.
Egyptian Vice President Mohamed ElBaradei has resigned and the interim government has declared a state of emergency.

Devastating Floods in China

Rainstorms, that are said to be the worst in decades, have devastated areas of southwest China. Floodwaters have wiped away villages, caused landslides, and forced the evacuation of tens of thousands of people. There have been at least 50 deaths and many people are still missing.
