No longer content to be everybody’s favorite grandmother CEO who creates jobs, the Linda McMahon campaign is taking aim at the real culprits Connecticut holding us back. And it isn’t just the beleaguered and stumbling Chris Murphy campaign.
In an email to supporters this weekend, Campaign manager Corwin Bliss explains the political landscape and who the new villains are: bankers, people who donate to Democrats and of course, “the complicit media.”
Bliss explains the problem:
– It’s the “fat cat campaign contributors” behind Murphy.
– It’s Webster Bank President Jim Smith, “one of Murphy’s strongest campaign supporters.”
– It’s the “complicit media” that refuses to explain how Murphy’s house foreclosure lead to a $400 million government loan to a bank.
Another alien pest has arrived. The DEEP warns that the invasive Chinese Mitten Crab has been found in the Mianus River in Greenwich:
“This discovery is of some concern,” said DEEP Deputy Commissioner Susan Frechette. “In high densities, these crabs can damage fishing gear, clog pumps and intake pipes, cause riverbank erosion through their burrowing activities and outcompete native species for food and habitat. However, these crabs are relatively new to the Atlantic coast, and at this time it is unclear as to what their effects will actually be.”
