Donors forked over $30 billion to colleges and universities in 2011, an 8 percent increase over the previous year according to a survey just released by the nonprofit Council for Aid to Education. The increase in giving to the top 20 fundraisers accounts for half of the growth in charitable donations. The top 25 percent raised 86 percent of the money. Here’s a breakdown. Note how UCONN barely outraises Wesleyan.

    Gee,the better schools attract the better students which are more successful and have more money to donate back to the school. Another “problem” that needs to be “fixed”.

    Where is the Re-Distribution of wealth? Why are some Colleges allowed to be Rich…..it is so unfair…Tax The Rich!!! Oh that only applies to Rich People.
