GOP Sen Fundraising Face-Off: Shays v. McMahon

For the fourth quarter, where Chris Shays was trying to prove he’s got some game and Linda McMahon was trying to show it’s about more than her fortune, it’s a mixed bag.

Shays pulled in more cash, but far less than the $1 million he talked about. This will become a problem.

McMahon isn’t bringing in a lot of dough. But she doesn’t need to.

The breakdown, according to numbers from the campaigns:

Shays raised $422,145 from 749 individuals, an average of $564 per donor

McMahon $326,646 from 1,085 individuals, an average of $301 per donor.
