Is Hartford’s iQuilt Happening? Doug Suisman Says Yes
Whether it’s an urban redevelopment master stroke or another Patriots-come-to-Hartford boondoggle, the iQuilt project is showing provocative signs of actually making something happen. iQuilt, which aims to tie together Hartford’s many attractions through walkways, street redesigns, expanded parks and various other downtown improvements, is still in the planning and where-will-all-the-money-for-this-come-from stage.
Doug Suisman, the urban planner and Hartfordite-turned-California-new-urbanist hired to oversee the project, was in town Thursday night for an update.
