I’m not sure about giving the post office more money to lose or paying down the national debt, but John Larson’s “Victory for Veterans” stamp does help one worthy cause. Larson is introducing a bill in Congress to create the stamp. Larson will hold a press conference to announce his initiative in Hartford tomorrow. Larson’s office has this to say about his idea:

Inspired by World War II-era victory stamps, the 2012 incarnation is a special supplementary stamp that has no postal value, but may be purchased by Americans interested in engaging in a patriotic initiative to benefit three important causes.  Priced at $.21, proceeds from the stamp will be split between funding for veterans employment and training programs, paying down the national debt and supporting the operations of the United States Postal Service, which is one of the largest employers of our nation’s veterans.

This has all the attributes of a government project:
    1. A blow-hard politician think’s its a good idea, so he wastes taxpayer money on working out the logistics.
    2. Said blow-hard politician is so proud of his idea he has to have a press conference.
    3. Said project takes money from stupid people (albeit voluntary, like the lottery) for something totally worthless.
    4. Said money gets distributed to more government workers and government debt that government workers racked up.

    Brilliant!

@ Wilton…and later the fat pantload will brag to veterans’ group how he’s really got a good feel for what veterans are going through …all because of his dopey stamp idea! Liberals of course will eat this up and ask for seconds. Adults the room will ask Larson : Who do you think you’re fooling?

Loser Larson doing what he does best…..nothing of importance. The only good thing is it is voluntary.

Hope the newest name in politics, John Decker, gets to debate loser Larson and show him for the ever spending, liberal Poster Child for Obamacare, Tax the Rich, and SPend, spend, spend votes.
