Gold Coasters who were at a recent event in Greenwich have been asked to check their closets and make sure Tom Foley’s suit jacket isn’t there. At a recent gathering, it seems that Foley’s Saville Row suit jacket was in inadvertently swapped with … a Jos. A. Banks version!

According to an all-points-bulletin from the Harpoon Club, guests should be on the lookout for the suit coat made by the London tailor H. Huntsman & Sons. The suits start at about $7,ooo.

Here’s the email:

PLEASE INDULGE ME:

We still have not located the fellow who mistakenly took Tom Foley’s suit jacket.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR CLOSET AND WITH YOUR GUEST, if you had a guest at the dinner.

Tom’s jacket will have a tag in the inside pocket which says “Huntsman, Saville Row”.

The jacket left at the club in its place is a Jos. A. Banks.

Thank you for checking again.

Its just awful, isn’t it? See if you can get your hands on one of those $40,000 plates at an Obama 1% fundraiser in which he blasts the (non-Democrat) rich in the name of transparency. Now THOSE are some righteous fundraisers.

Most voters in CT cannot afford a $7,000 suit. Good grief!
