I’ve got no problem with our felonious ex-governor taking a swipe at unions. He’s got a show to do and this protest will only help his ratings. And it’s not hate radio — it’s Republicans-who-have-amnesia radio. But in the midst of all his blabbing about Malloy’s spending, the Chris Donovan mess, the Busway and how everything was better when he was taking graft on Prospect Avenue, how about for once we hear Mr. Rowland fess up about the mess he created? It won’t happen, which is why we’re lucky to have him. There’s always more to any John Rowland story than meets the eye. He’s the gift who keeps on giving.

In the meantime, here’s another union leader comment for Rowland Nation to ponder.  Today’s union gathering is at 2 outside the WTIC studios in Farmington, which might be a lot more interesting that the GOP Senate debate I will attend:

“The John Rowland that I remember as governor of Connecticut always supported public projects and understood how to grow the local economy. His present show is now all trash talk radio. It’s really become hate radio every weekday afternoon. We’re supporting a boycott of his advertisers and the radio station as well,” said Charles LeConche, business manager, Connecticut Laborers’ District Council. “Our organization will also be petitioning the Federal Communications Commission about this CBS Radio outlet’s handling of trash talk and biased information without offering the opportunity to present different points of view. I would like to invite all Connecticut workers to join us at this protest this coming Thursday afternoon.”

29 Responses to More On The Union Protest Of ex-Gov. Rowland

  1. Todd Zaino says:

Two weeks ago Donovan was all the rage
This protest takes him off the front page
Colon and Green think this is swell
Drinking again from the same well
McEnroe remembering when he was on TIC’s prime stage

  2. Richard says:

The John Rowland I remember tried to outsource the state of CT Information Technology Department.

The next John Rowland will force the state into the Cloud leaving a few Maytag repairmen around collecting checks waiting for retirement

  3. Thomas says:

What a HATEFUL ARTICLE this is. Its disgusting. The fact that connecticut has NO MORE MONEY, and that the UNIONS just want more of OUR MONEY to line their pockets, and leave us the citizen in poverty.

    SHAME ON YOU !

  4. Palin Smith says:

It’s Flag Day. Be sure to fly some stars and stripes at the rally.

  5. harris porter says:

I am a retired state employee and the John Rowland i remember he is a crook and the state of connecticut worste felon,I will be joining the protest in farmington against wtic1080 and its felonius J.Rowland.

  6. John Mauer says:

In Wisconsin, the unions protested a governor that actually did something to help the working men and women. In Connecticut, the unions protest a governor who did nothing to remove the public union blight on our state. No wonder our taxes are so high.

    • harris porter says:

John we are protesting the priviledge that wtic1080 and people like you give to a felonius ex-gov,just think what he put this state through!

  7. Todd Zaino says:

    @ Harris Porter

Mr. Porter please look up the word hyperbole then see how the meaning of that word matches your comment. There are eleven men on CT’s death row, sorry sir but all of them would fit your description much better than Gov. Rowland. I hope all of the same angry people are planning on voting Obama out this November sixth.

  8. Palin Smith says:

Just as the national Democrats created the false issue of a Republican war against women to distract from President Obama’s dismal economic record, it’s now the Connecticut Democrats, no – actually the unions which are more powerful than the CT Dems, who now attempt to divert attention from the severely wounded, Chris Donovan, their golden goose.

The unions actually have a bona fide issue to wave at the WTIC studios today. Their misguided efforts, however, will backfire, because in the final analysis, their golden goose is cooked. Sounds of protesters outside the studios will only boost Rowland’s ratings and awaken more of the slumbering electorate.

    • harris porter says:

The issue at hand is not about Pres.Obama but its about a ex-con and ex-Gov.J.Rowland NOW EMPLOYED BY WTIC.Rowland pick this fight not the union are the democrats.

    • Little Connie says:

Thank you, Palin, for your comments. Connecticut citizens need representatives who will work for the taxpayers, not the union bosses, which will help the state back to solvency. Only a tiny percentage of CT residents can afford to pay for ever-increasing costs for government workers who are earning more than there private sector counterparts. Why can’t the union bosses see that taxpayers are tapped out?

  9. harris porter says:

Todd my mom always said these words, show me your company and i will tell you who you are!

  10. Todd Zaino says:

    @ Mr. Porter

I run with a crowd that’s always right
Union thugs chase cash with all of their might
I belong to a group called adult
Seems like you belong to a cult
This election is a good vs. evil fight

    • harris porter says:

Todd we are the union and we stand united for a JUST CAUSE,thats what we do its not name calling.

  11. Todd Zaino says:

    For Mr. Porter

Look at you spew your union sass
    Anything immoral Democrats gladly pass
    Union promises are cheap
    Members protest like sheep
Harris should return to an English second grade class

  12. Todd Zaino says:

    For Mr. Porter

Namecalling is something you claim you don’t do
Calling Rowland the worst that one’s you
Who are you trying to convince
    Donovan’s the union’s prince
Why not list your accomplishments I am sure they’re less than a few

  13. Dropkick says:

Leave it to the unions to shoot themselves in the foot. I too will no longer listen to his show, but certainly not for these reasons. His meddling in the 5th District race on a “voluntary” basis is why I change the dial at 3PM.

  14. Todd Zaino says:

Creeps and thugs all gather in a bunch
Man vs. man Rowland would eat their lunch
Unions march and use personal attacks
While Rowland simply relys on the facts
Greedy state unions going down it’s more than a hunch

  15. Todd Zaino says:

Union Rep vs. John in an on-debate
Radio gold even better than great
    Unions on a sinking boat
Gov would say that’s all she wrote
Unions peddling in their vile and hate

  16. Jimbo says:

Keep up the good work Governor. The truth hurts and the union thugs can’t handle the truth. This state is going broke paying for bloated Government and idiotic capital projects like the Busway and Jackson Labs. Keep voting liberals and union-owned Democrats and watch the state circle the drain.

  17. Todd Zaino says:

Unions and Democrats truly have no shame
Looking for Republicans to take all the blame
Connecticut is a party of one
Look at the damage they’ve done
Kickbacks and union dues what a vile game

  18. Todd Zaino says:

    For Harris Porter

Porter’s hardest three years were the fourth grade
Unions signing up Porters they have it made
    It’s the union’s mad dash
    To get that dirty cash
All the while taxpayers get screwed not laid

  19. concerned conservative says:

    Tood Z.:

Your poetry is hilarious. Keep up the good work. You’re right on target…as much as Rick “the union stooge” Green is off.

  20. sydney says:

An Italian Proverb for Harris Porter:

Empty barrels make the most noise.

Harris…U make an awful lot of noise.

    Thumbs up 2 Todd.

  21. Todd Zaino says:

    For Concerned Conservative and Sydney:

Union thugs were going to protest in WTIC’s lot
15 showed up that’s all you got
    Cheaters getting exposed
    Taxpayers getting hosed
Looks like Donovan’s chances are all shot

  22. Palin Smith says:

At least one reporter was on the scene to get the union’s point of view.

  23. Todd Zaino says:

Union protest look at all (7) of the white men
English-challenged fat spokesman and a has been
A single woman who’s conveniently black
What a better way to add to the attack
John’s ratings beat Colon’s by 100 and ten

Seven white guys and a black women mouth piece
So small a “crowd” can’t help but keep the peace
    Jimmy Hoffa must by crying
    Are these guys really trying
Corrupt union thugs looking for taxpayers to fleece

  24. Tony says:

Why is a convicted Ex Governor still allowed to collect his State Benifits for the rest of his life ? Why not give back to the people of the State you Stole from !!!
