No surprise there, why do you think we called it rattlesnake mountain in the 70′s. They were there first, and overbuilding in their habitat make them more visible to the public.
Just watch out, they are not usually aggressive – but don’t try to get near to them and don’t try to kill them. I’ve seen them sunning in the road many times. Just call animal control if they get too close, as you can see, they know how to relocate them.
