Our own Joe Courtney has known for months that the student loan crisis would be fertile ground for Democrats who desperately need to revive the youth vote this fall.

THE PRESIDENT HEADS SOUTH, THEN WEST TODAY : At 1:15 p.m., “the President will deliver remarks at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he will continue to call on Congress to stop interest rates on student loans from doubling in July. … Later, the President will sit down for an interview for ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ … In the afternoon, the President will depart from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, en route Boulder, Colorado. … In Colorado, the President will deliver remarks at the University of Colorado at Boulder to discuss the need for Congress to act to prevent 7.4 million students with federal student loans … from seeing their interest rates double on July 1. … The President will remain overnight in Denver.”
