Why School Boards Shouldn’t Listen To The Family Institute

Memo to school boards: when the Family Insitute of Connecticut comes knocking, watch out.

Recall that Peter Wolfgang of the Family Institute of Connecticut urged the Enfield Board of Education in 2010 to go to court to fight to have the high school graduation in church.

He told them they would win and it wouldn’t cost them anything. The board decided to fight the matter in court.

This week the Enfield board voted to accept a settlement, agreeing that it would not hold graduations in a church The board will also have to pay at least part of the legal costs of the case with the American Civil Liberties Union and Americans United for Separation of Church and State.

To be fair the board composition has changed. The BOE is being very diplomatic about it and simply putting the issue behind them as there’s little passion left in the fight. Even if they won they likely won’t use the church again given some of the facilities that became available.

The comments section from Enfield Patch is what you would expect.

I don’t hear the voice of Paul Robeson in there :)

Yet another of the tens of thousands of reasons to ignore the Homophobe Institute.

Now if the media would only let Peter drift away in the wind like the trash that he is…

Heterophobia–an increasingly used term to define the social dysfunctions leading to the approval of homosexual rights and communal family structures and disapproval of heterosexual rights promoting the traditional nuclear family.

With the discovery of the Gay Gene in Female Mice in 2010 some are predicting 25 years to a mapping of gay human genes and the war between heterophobes who will push for a more equal distribution of homosexuals in the gene pool and Homophobes who will propose an eradication program.

They should have just cancelled the graduation ceremony. That would have cost a lot less and the students responsible would be remembered as those that ruined it for everyone. That would have served them right. They would no doubt be remembered at the class reunions although perhaps not invited.

One of the polling places I used to vote was a Jewish Synagogue. Where was the ACLU then? Or do they only sue Christian organizations?

There are strange bedfellows in the war for school vouchers with the Orthodox lining up with the Catholics against the liberal, cultural Jews lined up with the rabid and radical secular atheist fringe.

Nice link, Richard. Too bad it doesn’t prove what you assert. Like most right-wingers, you’re forced to lie about science.
