Warner Nursery is holding a summer holiday sale with plenty of plants dirt cheap. Playhouse on Park, a theater company at 224 Park Road in West Hartford, has a lunchtime ticket special. Visit the box office between noon and 1 p.m. on the day of a performance and you can purchase $10 tickets for that evening’s show. (Cash only. Tickets limited to Main Stage performances and must be purchased in person at the box office.) Another deal: ShopRite card holders can get two-for-one tickets. (Offers can’t be combined.) The Stafford Library, 10 Levinthal Run, hold its annual book sale on Friday, July 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hardcover books are $1 and paperbacks are 50 cents. The sale also includes audio books, DVDs and videos.
