The American Cancer Society will host a free Look Good… Feel Better workshop on Monday, June 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hartford Hospital Medical Office Building, Blue Back Square, 65 Memorial Dr., West Hartford.

Female cancer patients are invited to learn beauty techniques to help with appearance related side effects which can occur during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

During the two-hour session, a cosmetologist teaches women how to cope with skin care changes and hair loss using cosmetics and skin care products donated by the cosmetics industry. Each Look Good…Feel Better participant receives a free kit of cosmetics, valued at $200.
Information or to register, call The American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345 or 860-545-4184 or email mvanderjagt@harthosp.org

One Response to Free Beauty Workshop for Women Cancer Patients

How sexist and discriminatory! Why can’t the American Cancer Society help all cancer patients? Is it also only limited to young, wealthy, straight white women too? Sure, why not? Typical misandry in our society today. The Courant shouldn’t be supporting and promoting discrimination like this!
