“Midsommar” (midsummer) is celebrated in many parts of the world as the longest day of the year.
“Our Swedish roots are important to us – they run through everything IKEA does,” said Donna Fitzgerald, IKEA Food Commercial Manager. “We take every opportunity to celebrate our culture and heritage and we love events like Midsummer, which allow us to share those celebrations with our fans.”
The menu features traditional Swedish foods including assorted varieties of herring, whole poached salmon, salads, cheeses, meatballs with lingonberries, Swedish ham, sausage, side dishes, desserts and beverages.
The New Haven store will have two seatings – at 4:30 and & 7 p.m. Tickets are $12.99 for adults and $4.99 for children 12 and under. IKEA FAMILY members pay $9.99 for adults and $2.49 for kids 12 and under. (IKEA Family membership is free and you can sign up online or in stores. )
