Taking to the road this summer? AAA is partnering with NAPA Auto parts to offer free vehicle maintenance inspections from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the NAPA store, 1260 Newfield St. in Middletown. You don’t have to be a AAA member to participate. Roadside Rescue Team staff will check batteries, tires, wiper blades, fluid levels and lights. Inspections will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
AAA has a new membership for younger drivers. AAA My Way includes emergency roadside assistance and some unique benefits; “Safe Tow” for those unable to drive for any reason and “Bike Tow” for members who have bikes with flat tires or broken chains. The offer, geared to 18 to 30-year-olds, is $49/year ($44 for the first year if you opt for automatic renewal), about half the cost of a regular AAA membership. Information: www.aaa.com/myway.
